IBS College Miri Visits Miri Central Prison, Organised by MP YB Chiew

Promoting Community Engagement and Social Responsibility

IBS College Miri participated in a visit to Miri Central Prison, organised by Member of Parliament (MP) YB Chiew, providing an opportunity to gain insights into the prison environment and learn more about the importance of community engagement and social responsibility.

The visit offered a meaningful opportunity for participants to broaden their understanding of the correctional system and the role it plays in society. It also highlighted the importance of compassion, respect, and understanding towards individuals from different backgrounds and circumstances.

Through initiatives like this, IBS College Miri continues to encourage students and staff to look beyond the classroom, gain broader perspectives, and develop a stronger sense of social awareness and civic responsibility.

IBS College Miri would like to express its appreciation to MP YB Chiew for organising the visit and to the team at Miri Central Prison for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful experience.
