21 October 2023 : It was a glorious and wonderful and wonderful night for IBS College as it is successfully held as its annual 'Prom Night' at the Imperial Hotel here on Friday.
The event proved that the unfavorable economic situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic had not dampened the excitement and hopes of those from the college.
There was an element of mystique as the students dressed creatively in their best attire to theme 'Enchanted Forest'.
The event proved to be special after two years of not being able to have it organized, due to the pandemic.
There were around 200 guests; mostly students and staff from IBS College as well as some invited guests.
The college's principal Dr Lau Pun Lee, in his welcoming speech, commended the student council for their efforts in conducting for the event.
In his opening speech, IBS College chairman Dr Antony Hii called upon students to exercise their rights as citizens by voting in the upcoming general election.
He also said the 'Prom Night' event proved that the students had 'emerged victorious despite the pandemic'.
The crowd enjoyed dishes specially prepared by Imperial Hotel's chefs and was entertained by various singing performance by the students.
Activities that took place included a live band performance and lucky draws.
The highlight of the night was the crowning of the 'Prom King' and 'Prom Queen'
