On March 3, 2025, IBS College launched a special program titled Free Education 2.0,held at the college's main hall IBS College. This program was specially designed for SPM school leavers while they awaited their exam results, with aim of giving them early exposure to college life and available study opportunities.

   The program ran for two moths, offering a range of beneficial activities such as motivational workshops, course introductions, campus tours, and  interactive sessions with  senior students. Classes offered during the two months are Computer Skills Class, English Skills Class, and Entrepreneurship & Leadership Skills class. More than 100 students from different school in Miri and even from Limbang and Subis, joined the 2 months long classes.

  The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr. Leslie Lau, who  attended as a representative of YB Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, adding excitement and encouragement to the event.

  The program officially concluded on April 26, 2025, with a closing ceremony held to celebrate the journey and achievements of the participants. For this special occasion, YB Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew himself was invited to officiate the closing ceremony. His presence was greatly appreciated and served as an inspiration to all attendees.

   The event ended on a high note  with students performances, certificate presentations, and words of appreciations to everyone ,making it a truly meaningful and memorable time for all the students who participated.
